Javier González-Rocha

Dr. Javier González-Rocha is an Assistant Professor of Applied Mathematics at UC Santa Cruz whose research bridges atmospheric science, environmental sensing, and autonomous systems to advance community resilience.  He develops UAV-based methods for real-time wind profiling and pollutant transport modeling. He collaborates with community-based organizations to co-design sensor networks and environmental tools that support climate adaptation and air quality monitoring in frontline communities.
