Spencer Schubert

Spencer Schubert is a postdoctoral researcher in Environmental Studies. He completed his PhD in Ecology at Old Dominion University, with past and present research focusing on animal seed dispersal and regeneration dynamics of tropical forests of the Caribbean and Latin America. Spencer’s CCCR project involves reviewing the standards and practices of over 120  globally leading reforestation charities and businesses championing large-scale tree growing as a solution to climate and biodiversity challenges. This project has implemented a comprehensive survey to understand organizational commitments to principles of socio-environmental safeguards, permanence, and transparency.
